Twice a year there is a little local festival called 'Rock Sound Festival'. Last weekend was the sixth edition and I was there to see the action. Four local bands were playing, all Belgian and all Rockin'.

Belgium is a strange country. We have 3 national languages, 6 governments and still no new federal government. But what we do have, is lots of small venue's for concerts. Last night I went to see the Swedish band Bonafide, and it rocked!

Last year Lyo Leons and Joe Gooch, both from Ten Years After started writing songs and formed the trio Hundred Seventy Split. This Blues/Rock trio have since then released their first album, 'The World Won't Stop'. This year they are touring Europe and I was present at their first gig.

Back in 2007 I saw a trailer for a movie called "Across The Universe" and I noticed something very peculiar. I heard a version of 'Helter Skelter', the Beatles hit, sung by a woman with an amazing voice. After some digging, it turned out that woman was Dana Fuchs, and I've been a fan ever since.
Gary Moore, one of the best guitarists i have ever witnessed live has pased away today, the 6th of February 2011 will be forever a black day in the history of Rock music.

Germany is home to many great musicians and bands, bands such as Accept and Scorpions hail to us from Germany, singers such as Udo Dirkschneider (formerly from Accept) and Doro Pesch and of course guitarists such as Michael Schenker, and it's in this last section that Axel Rudi Pell sits. Right now Axel Rudi Pell is touring to promote his latest album, the Crest, and they made a stop in Belgium on the 29thof January.
