Over the years, I have seen many guitar wizards at work. Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Gary More, Slash... The list is long, but Marty Friedman surely belongs on that list as well.

On the 1st of May I went to the Roots & Roses Festival in Lessines, Belgium. So on this sunny spring day I packed my trusty Nikon camera and off I went to see some folk, roots and modern blues music.

At the end of April there was a festival in Mons, Belgium. This festival, which was going through it's second year, was called Power Prog & Metal Fest 2011.
Last year they had a great line-up with as headliner the Scorpions. This year however, they managed to surpass that bill with a line-up that was to die for.

Back in April I went to see the band Beatallica play in the Rock Temple in Kerkrade. Beatallica plays a mashup of Beatles and Metallica songs and were great fun! Check them out if you ever get the chance!

This year I went to Paaspop for the Dutch metal webzine 'metalkrant.nl'. This festival featured over 111 artists.
I had a great time on this festival, it was also the first big festival I covered, and I met quite a few cool & intresting people. I'll be going back next year!
