Each year Wizz Wizzard organises this festival called Wizzfest, and just like last year, I was there!

The bands this year were Scutigera, Eternal Breath, Assia, Ziyos, Fantasist, Snake Eyes, Wizzard, Beyond The Labyrinth, Chaos Asylum & Attica Rage.

Hailing in from Ireland last week was Pat McManus. This multi talented musician is an amazing fiddle and guitar player. Having already appeared on TV by the age of 7 and becoming All-Ireland Fiddle Champion by the age of 14, it was only a matter of time before he found the stage.

Back in 2010 I went to the Highlands Blues Festival in the Netherlands to see Dana Fuchs at work. Headlining the festival that day was this guy called Walter Trout.

When I heard that Melissa Etheridge was coming to town I decided to go and check it out. I used to listen to her music in the early '90's but somehow she dropped of my radar over the years so I didn't really know what to expect.

What I saw however was amazing, this short woman with the big guitars knows her music and loves her fans!

The guys from Rock On Road had invited Beyond The Labyrinth to play in Brussels, and left the slots for support acts open to their choice. Seeing as Beyond The Labyrinth is going to play on Wizzfest, they thought it'd be a nice idea to invite two other Belgian bands.

"The boys are back in town" should be a song you know, and the band who made it famous was in town just a month ago. Thin Lizzy has been arround since 1969 and has gone some changes, but they still rock!

While the band has gone to some rough patches and reformations, their current line-up kicks some major ass!
