Graspop Metal Meeting is without a doubt the festival I've visited the most so far. Been going there since 2002 and I haven't missed an edition since.
This year they had a very nice line-up with bands such as Judas Priest, Whitesnake, Scorpions, Iced Earth, Black Label Society and many many more.
Originally Ozzy Osbourne would be headlining there Saturday but alas, the prince of darkness isn't immune to laryngitis so Judas Priest took it upon themselves to play the headline spot and man, what a show that was! This was the 3rd gig I saw of them this year and beyond a doubt the best gig I've ever witnessed by them.
A set list comprising just about all their best work blasted through the skies and when they started 'Breaking The Law' Rob Halford stayed silent, letting us metalheads sing the whole song uninterrupted, I have never seen a band pull this off!
Judas Priest weren't of course the only great bands, also Whitesnake & Foreigner proved that they deserved to be on the main stage and Iced Earth did what they do best, Kick Ass!
Here's to next year!
