A while ago a friend told me that Fury UK would be playing in the Grand Canyon bar in Nazareth. I knew they were going to play at Wizzfest, so I decided to go check them out.
To my surprise, they weren't alone. They brought with them another band from the U.K., called Exit State. These guys were also playing Wizzfest, and today was their very first gig in Belgium. Exit State is a pretty young band, formed in 2005 by Roy Bright and they've released a new album last year called 'Death Of A Rockstar'.
Their sound is more of a Punk rock sound, in the vein of for instance Foo Fighters. But luckily, they also bring to that mix influences from Pop, Rock and Metal into the sound. Songs they played included 'Bad Days' and 'Lost Beyond Belief'.
After the rocking sound of Exit State, it was time for Fury UK to take the stage. This band, which formed way back in 2002 has seen quite a few stages already. They've opened for bands such as 'Diamond Head', 'Michael Schenker', 'Blaze Bayley' and 'UFO' and they will be joining Saxon on their UK tour this year.
These guys were something else. A 100% Rocking sound for us, the crowd to eat up. They started the set with the song 'I See Red', and gradually worked their way up to the awesome 'Death By Lightning'.
